Tanzbar, melodisch und leicht melancholisch kommt die neue Single von Tia Gostelow daher. Die Musik der australischen Indie-Pop-Sängerin & Songwriterin nimmt uns mit auf die Tanzflächen der 80er Jahre. Geballte Synthyflächen gehen Hand in Hand mit tanzbaren Melodien und schweben leichtfüßig im Glitzerlicht der Discokugel über das Parkett. Das ist 80er-Disco-Synthpop vom Feinsten!
CLASH, Rolling Stone, Ones to Watch, Wonderland Magazine und Triple J haben Tia schon längst auf ihrem Radar. Sie tourte durch Europa, spielte auf großen Festivals in Australien und supportete Künstler wie Gomez, Frightened Rabbit, Lewis Capaldi, The Rubens, Ball Park Music und Boy & Bear.
Am 30. Oktober erscheint das zweite Album „Chrysalis“ und hat im Gegensatz zu ihrem von Indie- & Folkeinflüssen geprägten Debütalbum „Thick Skin“ (2018), mit Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Alex Lahey) an der Spitze der Produktion, ein poppig glitzerndes und schillerndes 80er-Jahre-Synthypop Gewand angenommen. Die dritte Single „Always“ komplimentiert mit Tim Caroll als Duettpartner von Tia die Zusammenarbeit mit Holy Holy.
„Chrysalis touches on really personal moments of my life over the last 2 years. I wrote these songs when I was living by myself in Brisbane and when I was in probably the loneliest and most anxious state I’ve been in. I’ve found it really difficult to navigate life being away from my family and my partner, I’m such a family orientated person so when I was living by myself in a big city it really took a toll on me mentally. I feel like dealing with these emotions and putting them into these songs helped me overcome those feelings.“ – Tia Gostelow
