Crazy street music in beautiful Vienna together with the amazing Omar Altayi (Melodica) and Futurelove Sibanda (Cajon)!

Both are great musicians from Vienna. Especially Futurelove is such an all-round talent in playing drums and singing. Omar works on the project „Open Piano for Refugees“ and mostly hosts the piano.

I found this gren piano on the „Klangpromenade“ in my home base Berlin-Marzahn and played funky pop medley on it. Klangpromenade is a project by Kaiko Agentur, degewo, the Borough of Berlin Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Music School Hans-Werner-Henze and Thomas Krüger.

I found this yellow piano on the „Klangpromenade“ in my home base Berlin-Marzahn and played a nice little pop medley on it.

„Light up, Light up…“

In July I went back again to the beautiful city Vienna and played the ‚Open Piano for Refugees.‘ I am a big fan of the song „Run“. What many people didn’t know is that the song was first released in 2004 by the great wonderful band ‚SNOW PATROL‘. But it became not so popular. Only with the winner of the british casting show X-Factor ‚LEONA LEWIS‘ years later in 2008 and her ballade version of ‚Run‘ the song became with the re-release an absolutely hit in the world! Incredible!

I like this song because it’s so emotional with its wonderful melody. It has a deep mention to me, because it’s for my long-time good friend Tim Kerbe! With whom I sang this often in the past.

Now you can listen to it in my own piano version.

For a long time during the current pandemix, I was not able to play on public pianos. So I’m more than happy that more and more pianos are available again. This time I’m playing a medley in the supermarket in Hamburg, sounds strange, but here we go…

How does it sound when Thomas Krüger is singing and making Beatbox? ??

This was a nice concert in the ‚Gärten der Welt‘ (Gardens of the World) in my home district in Berlin Marzahn-Hellersdorf. I could be the ambassador this year with this Festival.
In cooperation with the ‚Fête de la Musique‘ I played there a nice powerful Beatbox Medley with special sounds. Here you are watching and listening to a short part of this. ??
