’’This song is about the consciously blind person. The one that is an online shopaholic, loving the fact that the Summers are getting longer and warmer, and whose life won’t be defined by the existential crisis of climate change. We wanted to write a chorus that this kind of person happily sings along to and melodies that vibrated from that kind of carelessness.’’ , so Sänger Tomas. ’’The song sounds like a too crowded home party in the middle of night, close to climax, and everyone is singing along like it’s the last party on earth.’’
“Get High, Buy Clothes“ ist die neue Single aus The Rhymes kommender EP, Elevator. Eine Steigerung der Erfahrung seit der Veröffentlichung des Debütalbums. Die Band hat seit ihrer Gründung 2016 Mando Diao im ausverkauften Cirkus (Schweden) mit 1.650 Plätzen unterstützt, tourte mit der britischen Punk-Sensation Slaves und wurde für ihre Energie und Melodien in der Presse und im schwedischen und deutschen Radio gelobt, wo mehrere der Album-Singles rotierten.
