Eine musikalische Weihnachtszugfahrt 🎅

Im Dezember 2023 war es nun wieder soweit!
Der legendäre WEIHNACHTSZUG 🚆 der Berliner S-Bahn des Vereins Historische S-Bahn e.V. @historisches-bahn-e.v. konnte nach 15 Jahren Stillstand wieder fahren. Und wie! Durch viele, enorm viele fleißige Hände besonders in der Instandhaltung und Pflege des Zugs konnte dieses rein ehrenamtliche Projekt überhaupt erst existieren und zum Erfolg gebracht werden. Alles aus eigener Kraft. Sowohl physisch als auch finanziell.

Daher ist der Verein auf jede Spende angewiesen und dankbar für jede Unterstützung, die ihm zugeteilt wird. 🙏

Viele, die mich kennen, wissen, dass ich leidenschaftlicher Eisenbahn-Fan bin. Seit meiner tiefsten Kindheit schon! Und vor allem großer Fan der Berliner S-Bahn und dessen gesamten Infrastruktur- sowie Verkehrssystems. Daher bin ich selber auch ehrenamtlich aktiv und Mitglied im Verein Historische S-Bahn e.V. ‎@historisches-bahn-e.v. seit 2007. 💚
Insbesondere historische und eben noch ältere fahrende Züge im Netz haben es mir angetan. Auf dem Weihnachtszug war ich ebenso aktiv beim Souvenirverkauf mit dabei.

Daher entstand die Idee, eine meiner neuesten Kompositionen „DRIED TEARS“ vom neuen Album ‚Indecision‘ zu nehmen, und sie mit passenden Bildern und Impressionen zu hinterlegen. Es ist ein sehr persönliches Musikwerk, und das Herzstück meines neuen Albums ‚Indecision‘, welches erst vergangenen Freitag, dem 26. Januar 2024, veröffentlicht wurde. 💿

This is a very emotional project here in Berlin at the famous UNESCO museum island („Museumsinsel“) @staatlichemuseenzuberlin at James-Simon-Galerie because of the terrible terror attack from Hamas on Israel.

„Das Gelbe Klavier“ – The Yellow Piano 💛🎹 is a piano installation for the pianist Alon Ohel, who was abducted and kidnapped from the Hamas terrorists. Nobody knows if he’s alive or not. The absurdity: it could have been me – me as a human and pianist, who has been there at that same horrible time. Because I WAS there too (from October 3rd to 13th) in Israel with my mother and just made holidays in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. And visited some people of my also Jewish family..

Also fhe famous pianist Igor Levit played here at the first day, when the piano opened for just some days. Everybody can play and set an example for the liberation of Alon Ohel and for the condemnation of the barbaric act of terror by Hamas, which unfortunately many Palestinians supported in retrospect. I find that sad, and also that open anti-Semitism is increasing around the world and again here in Germany and is being shown without inhibition.

So, I decided to play something personal.
And played one of my newest and emotional compositions: DRIED TEARS. It is very very personal and the main piece of my new album ‚Indecision‘, which will be released still this week on Friday, January 26th. 💿

Dieses Stück liegt mir wirklich sehr am Herzen!
Als ich es in Wien an einem Open Piano das erste Mal gespielt und improvisiert hatte, ist es einfach wie aus mir herausgeflossen. Die Improvisation war nahezu eine fertige Komposition. Es war verrückt, denn so etwas hatte ich noch nie, dass gleich beim ersten Versuch einer Improvisation etwas so Magisches entsteht. Und man meinen konnte, das Stück wäre schon vor diesem ersten Mal Spielen geschrieben worden. Ich fand meine Idee so gut, dass ich nur wenige Monate später ins Tonstudio, die Emil Berliner Studios, ging und meine Idee für immer gefestigt hatte.

In Zusammenarbeit mit meinem krassen und talentierten Videographen Max Kreiß (MagdeFilm) und einer mega ansehnlichen Location für so ein Hammer Video, dem Erlebnisdorf Parey | „Dein Lieblingsplatz in Parey“, ist uns etwas ganz Spezielles gelungen. Und ich muss auch sagen, eines meiner besten Musikvideos bisher! ♥︎
