On my trip to Salzburg in Summer 2020 I had the chance to play on the pianos of #openpianoforrefugees. Here it’s me and Katharina-Lia Strobl playing a nice piano improvisation together at Mozart Square.

I’m playing the smash hit “Wellermann” at Arminius Market Hall in Berlin. The song is a traditional 19th century sea shanty from New Zealand. The song reflects the hope that the time of confinement will soon be over – whether you’re cooped up on a whaler during “Tonguin” or not supposed to leave your own four walls in a pandemic. Anyway, think positive and never lose hope.
