I had the opportunity to play the song „Tom Major“ at the oldest airfield in the world – Stölln/Rhinow airfield in Brandenburg.

Peter Schilling first recorded his smash hit „Major Tom (Völlig losgelöst)“ in 1982. It was so successfull that he later recorded an English version.. The lyrics tell the story of an astronaut who loses his connection to the ground control and might be influenced by David Bowie some say….
