Those About To Die – Serienkritik

📜Kurzinhalt:
Panem et Circenses – Brot und Spiele; Rom im Jahr 79 n.Chr.: Das Zentrum des Römischen Reichs ist die reichste Stadt der Welt und es herrscht ein starker Zustrom an Sklavenarbeitern aus dem wachsenden Imperium, die die täglichen Arbeiten übernehmen. Die römische Bevölkerung – gelangweilt, ruhelos und zunehmend gewalttätig – wird vor allem von zwei Dingen unter Kontrolle gehalten: kostenloses Essen und spektakuläre Unterhaltung in Form von Wagenrennen und Gladiatorenkämpfen. Those About To Die taucht in die Welt der Spiele ein – eine Welt, die von Blutdurst, Geldgier, dem Streben nach Macht und von Korruption geprägt ist. Die Rennen im Circus Maximus werden von vier patrizischen Unternehmen, den Fraktionen Blau, Rot, Weiß und Grün, kontrolliert – Anteile an den vier Fraktionen sind das Wertvollste, das es in Rom gibt. Da der Unterhaltungsgeschmack der Bevölkerung immer abgestumpfter und blutrünstiger wird, wird für die Gladiatorenkämpfe ein eigens dafür konzipiertes Stadium erbaut – das Kolosseum. Das Ausmaß des Stadiums, aber auch der Gladiatoren- und Tierkämpfe, ist enorm, ebenso wie die Unterwelt mit dem florierenden Wettgeschäft. Unter den Tribünen arbeiten und leben tausende Menschen – viele von ihnen werden für die Spiele ihr Leben lassen.

Hello guys.
I was from October, 3th to 13th in the holy land of Israel 🇮🇱 and Palestine 🇵🇸.

Exactly in this moment and days, where the war starts and the terror organisation Hamas did the terrible attack to kill a lot of people in Israel and a music festival with a lot of young people.

But also, I found in these days a lot of nice free open and public pianos here. First day after the terror attack (October, 7th) I had such a wonderful walk on October, 8th through the old city of Jerusalem and also East-Jerusalem on the famous Mount of Olives.

There was a little church. ⛪️
The Catholic „Dominus Flevit Church“ where we get in and look: there was an E-Piano. So I started to play with a guy who played there before. Torbjørn Lending.

Together we played „Time“ from the movie Inception, composed by Hans Zimmer. And afterwards I played Hallelujah. And then… all the guests here sang this song with me. ❤️

Maybe you saw also my last published videos from Israel in this time. 🎹

Hope for better times.
And that all sides of the religious disputers can live one day in harmony and peace. 🌎

Mehrfach wurde ich nun gefragt, ob ich noch einmal eine eigene Piano-Version vom derzeit erfolgreichen Ballermann-Hit „LAYLA“ von DJ Robin & Schürze kreieren und auf dem Klavier spielen kann. Gemacht, getan! Hier habt ihr ihn. Den Sommerhit 2022. Direkt bei einem Open Piano vor der atemberaubenden Kulisse der berühmten Wiener Karlskirche! Ich hoffe, es gefällt Euch und teilt es fleißig weiter!

This is now my own version from the popular and commercial German Mallorca-Ballermann-Hit „LAYLA“ by DJ Robin & Schürze of 2022. I was asked by so many people if I can play this song as a piano ballad in my style. There is so a big political correctness discussion in Germany about this song that many people can only laughing about that. But only because of that the song became so popular and successful. So I played it for you in front of the Karlskirche (St. Karl Borromäus) in Vienna. Hope you like it.
